To overcome the coronavirus, doctors used a cure for arthritis. French scientists have received the first positive results of studies on the use of rheumatoid arthritis in the treatment of coronavirus infection, follows from a press release from the French organization Assistance publique – Hopitaux de Paris.

– It is believed that in patients with pneumonia due to COVID-19, a “cytokine storm” caused by a malfunction in immunity leads to acute respiratory failure and death. The CORIMUNO-19 platform was developed to evaluate the effectiveness and tolerance of various immunomodulators and other treatment methods for adult patients with severe COVID-19 infection using a series of multicenter randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that began on March 27, 2020, the press release said.
